IREC - Interstate Renewable Energy Council IREC is responsible for accredited training programs/individual trainers for all renewable energy types, creating a respected and recognizable industry standard. Those seeking solar training need to make sure a program is IREC-ISPQ accredited to be recognized by Pennsylvania.
NABCEP - Northern American Board of NABCEP Certified Energy Practioners NABCEP offers an Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge (valuable for those in non-technical solar industries) and an Installer Certification (for those actually designing/installing systems). These recognitions are given to those who complete IREC-ISPQ training and fulfill hands-on training requirements.
